Corporate Guide: Net Zero and the Scope 3 Challenge
Introduction
This guide is designed to help organisations tackle the trickiest but arguably most significant part of their journey to net zero: reducing emissions from their supply chain. Known as scope 3, these emissions must first be identified, and then reported, to support a managed strategy of phased reduction. By definition, scope 3 emissions are outside the direct operations of an organisation, so they are difficult to quantify and even harder to influence. Reporting and addressing these emissions brings an element of risk, making it all the more important to establish rigorous and transparent procedures to do so.

Thermal Energy Equipment: Boilers & Thermic Fluid Heaters
INTRODUCTION
This section briefly describes the Boiler and various auxiliarie s in the Boiler Room. A boiler is an enclosed vessel that provides a means for combustion heat to be transferred to water until it becomes heated water or steam. The hot water or steam under pressure is then usable for transferring the heat to a process. Water is a useful and inexpensive medium for transferring heat to a process. When water is boiled into steam its volume increases about 1,600 times, producing a force that is almost as explosive as gunpowder. This causes the boiler to be an equipment that must be treated with utmost care.

Developing a National Green Taxonomy
INTRODUCTION
In recent decades, the challenges of a rapidly warming planet and other aspects of environmental degradation have motivated a call for all actors in society, including the financial sector, to take responsibility for environmental sustainability. While global financing needs for environmentally sustainable growth have not, to date, been systematically estimated, the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate reckons that the world will need to invest approximately US$90 trillion in sustainable infrastructure assets over the next 15 years.2 Financing is also needed to support sustainable agriculture and avoid deforestation, among other priorities.

Energy Efficiency Policy Toolkit 2024
Introduction
Energy efficiency is central to improving the lives of all people. It provides affordable and reliable energy access, bolsters the security of energy supply, accelerates clean energy transitions and supports economic growth and resilience. For these reasons, energy efficiency policies can deliver many benefits to people – lowering energy bills, improving health outcomes, and creating new jobs, while ensuring these benefits are shared by all. A strong, early focus on energy efficiency is essential to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

Energy Recovery Optimization by Means of a Turbine in a Pressure Regulation Node of a Real Water Network Through a Data‑Driven Digital Twin
Abstract
In recent years, various devices have been proposed for pressure regulation and energy recovery in water distribution and transport networks. To provide a real net benefit, they require a dedicated long-distance management system in order to carry on both hydraulic regulation and electricity production without direct human manual operations. This
work presents a new proposal for the management of a pressure regulation system based on the PRS turbine.
