BACKGROUND
Waterfront Toronto is committed to making the city’s waterfront both a national and global model for sustainability. What we do on the waterfront can and will set new standards for best practices not only in Canada but throughout the world. To meet corporate policy objectives and achieve the goals set out in Waterfront Toronto’s Sustainability Framework (2005), the Mandatory Green Building Requirements (MGBR) were originally developed in 2006 and updated in August 2012. Waterfront Toronto recognized that more detailed revisions for improved performance were required.
