Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs)
A proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) spontaneously produces power from a fuel and oxygen with heat and water byproducts. Hydrogen is preferred as the fuel because it is renewable if generated by water electrolysis using electricity derived from renewable energy.
