In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to water quality and environmental aspects related to sediment transport, driven by both ambient forcing and human activities. Estuarine, coastal, and harbor areas often undergo operations to nourish beaches, to maintain navigation channels, and to remove contaminated sediment. Hence, much research is needed related to the sediment processes, transport, and related environmental aspects of marine sediments. The aim of this Special Issue is to exhibit novel research results in this field. Particular attention is paid to water quality and environmental aspects relating to sediment transport driven by anthropogenic activities and natural phenomena: spillover due to tidal processes, metals mobility, coastal modifications driven by extreme events and mean wave climate, sediments re-suspension and dispersion related to marine sediment handling.

The citizens of your town and our state rely upon wastewater treatment personnel for protection against unexpected events that may jeopardize public health and safety. NHDES takes this responsibility seriously. The Emergency Response Planning section of this manual was developed to ensure that all facilities receive the same information. It is not intended to serve as a substitute for an actual emergency response plan specific to your facility, but rather to serve as a generic guide to aid in planning for unanticipated situations in the event that a facility does not have a specific response plan. Public Swimming Pool and Spa Pool Advisory Document
The primary purpose of the advisory document is to provide information and guidance to pool operators, authorised officers (also known as environmental health officers), pool consultants and other swimming pool industry stakeholders on the appropriate modern standards to design, operate and maintain healthy swimming pools and spa pools. The secondary purpose is to complement public health legislation, particularly the prescribed operating requirements in Schedule 1 to the Public Health Regulation 2012. Disinfection is critical to prevent the survival and growth of micro-organisms in swimming pools and spa pools. The quality of incoming water supply, efficient filtration, well designed circulation and distribution systems, and an

Excessive intake of fluoride can cause adverse effects on human health. In this study, nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) was prepared and applied to remove excessive fluoride from water. The experiments were conducted in a batch system and the effects of pH, contact time and the concentrations of fluoride and nanoscale zero-valent iron doses were investigated.
