Produced Water Treatment & Recycling Oil & Gas Fields
Produced water is water that comes out of the oil and gas wells during production. Produced water contains soluble and non-soluble oils and organics, suspended solids, dissolved solids, and various chemicals used in the production process.
As a part of the production process, several separation technologies are applied to separate crude oil or gas from water. Effluent or excess-produced water is basically treated for injection, discharge to the open seas (off-shore wells), or evaporation ponds.
