Evaluate each Unit Operation – Work Backwards from Effluent Ø Identify any Operations Not Working Ø Compare Each Unit Operation to What it should be Discharging Ø Identify What is needed to Provide the Required Driving Force Needed to Produce Design Effluent for that Step Ø Does Unit react to Changes in Controls as it should? Ø If not, identify what isn’t working Ø Make all Changes that appear necessary – if no Improvement Check for Impacts from other Unit Operations.
