Maintenance Handbook for Protective Relaying
The basic objective of system protection is for the quick isolation of power system problems to minimize the impact to the rest of the system. Protection is meant to minimize the duration of faults, limit the damage of system events, and minimize the time of system outages.

Solar Powered Water Systems: Operations & Maintenance Guide 2024
Solar-powered water systems (SPWS) power water pumps by converting solar energy to electrical energy. These pumps push water from the source, ideally through a water treatment system, to an elevated storage tank and then downward by force of gravity to where users will collect the water. Some SPWS include an alternate power source, such as a generator or an electrical grid, to extend operating hours or as a backup power source when the solar energy is not sufficient due to weather or season.

Boiler System Failures Analysis & Diagnostics Manual
Boiler efficiency, in the simplest terms, represents the difference between the energy input and energy output. A typical boiler will consume many times the initial capital expense in fuel usage annually. Consequently, a difference of just a few percentage points in boiler efficiency between units can translate into substantial savings. The efficiency data used for comparison between boilers must be based on proven performance to produce an accurate comparison of fuel usage. However, over the years, efficiency has been represented in confusing terms or in ways where the efficiency value did not accurately represent proven fuel usage values.

Augmented Reality and the Future of Maintenance
Abstract—This paper addresses the use of Augmented Reality (AR) systems to improve maintenance technicians’ performance from training stage to daily interventions. The concept of AR born in industry and since then has being developed by scientists to fulfill the real demands of operational teams. It will be presented the most relevant industrial AR projects and their results, as well as others that significantly contributed for the development of AR
and their implementation on industrial environments, namely the progress from marker-based systems to model-based systems.
Nowadays, industrial AR systems are not a faraway utopia. To expand the benefits of AR systems for the maintenance
sector, it must be combined with other tools, such as real-time monitoring, fault-diagnosis and prevention systems in order to enhance the capabilities of technicians and thus improve maintenance interventions performance.
